Visiting Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework

We look forward to welcoming you to Katherine Mansfield House & Garden. Key information for visiting from 14 April 2022 at 'Orange' as follows:

  • You must wear a face covering during your visit while indoors, unless you are under 12 years of age or have an exemption. We will have disposable face masks available for you in case you have forgotten your own.
  • We encourage you to follow physical distancing guidelines (1 metre) between our staff and other groups during your visit.
  • A contactless payment system (payWave) is available for payments by card. We encourage contactless payment if possible. If you need to pay with cash, there is hand sanitiser available.
  • Guided tours and education group visits can be booked. For large pre-booked guided tour groups and for education group visits, we will close the house to the public for the duration of the visit to ensure physical distancing can be maintained. The hours of closure will be communicated via our website.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions about how the house is operating under the COVID-19 Protection Framework or have accessibility needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Katherine Mansfield House & Garden's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is available below. We'll continue to review our processes to make sure we're doing everything we can to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors safe.

Our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

From 11.59pm on Monday 4 April, a My Vaccine Pass will no longer be required for entry to Katherine Mansfield House & Garden for those aged 12 and over. This decision was made by the Board of the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace Society (which owns and operates Katherine Mansfield House & Garden) following consultation with the staff and volunteers at Katherine Mansfield House & Garden.
