Exhibition Proposals

One of the original bedrooms upstairs at Katherine Mansfield House & Garden operates as our Exhibition Room. You can see online versions of two previous exhibitions here. Recent exhibitions include:

Mothers: The hull of a canoe (2024), an exhibition of contemporary artworks that portray women in maternal relationships with others, curated by Lily McCowan.
Dear Katherine (2023), a collection of ceramic art by local ceramicist Sophie Florence Arbuckle, inspired by Katherine Mansfield's life and writing.
Patchwork Creative (2023), quilts by Wellington Quilters.
Katherine's Room (2022), an installation by Sven Mehzoud and Grace Williams inspired by descriptions of Katherine Mansfield’s flats on Cheyne Walk and Gray’s Inn Road in London.
