Accessibility

Katherine Mansfield House & Garden is a modestly-sized historic house. Entry to the house is via steps and there is an internal staircase with a handrail and a landing at the half-way point. If you have physical accessibility requirements, please contact us to discuss how we can facilitate your visit. Unfortunately, the house is not wheelchair accessible and we do not have an accessible bathroom.

There is a mobility park approximately 50 meters from the house, near the corner of Tinakori Road and Hobson Street (outside 120 Hobson Street). If the distance from the mobility parking space is not suitable, you can contact us in advance to arrange driving into the driveway of Katherine Mansfield House & Garden to be dropped off.

Our 'Plan Your Visit' page includes more information about what to expect when visiting the house. If you would like any further information to assist with planning your visit, please don't hesitate to call us on (04) 473 7268, or you can find an online contact form and our email address here.
