Donations

The Katherine Mansfield Birthplace Society Inc. is a registered charity and gratefully accepts one-off or regular financial donations of any amount. These donations support our daily operations, collection care, maintenance of the house and garden, education and public programmes, exhibitions and special events.

You can make a donation of $5 or more below, or through our online shop.

Other payment options include direct to our bank account via online banking, a credit card transaction over the phone or an Eftpos or cash transaction when visiting the house. To find out more, please contact us. Unfortunately, from 1 July 2021 we will no longer be able to accept donations via cheque.

All donations receive a receipt and donations of $5 and over are eligible for a donation tax credit. Receipts for monthly donations (for example, $10 per month via automatic payment to our bank account) are issued at the end of each year.

Bequests

A bequest is your special gift to help keep the legacy of Katherine Mansfield alive. Bequests can also ensure that the Category 1 Historic Place in which she was born remains a place of education, creativity and enjoyment for years to come.

By considering the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace Society in your will, you can help ensure future generations discover and appreciate this remarkable Kiwi icon. Bequests are an effective and much-needed way of keeping her legacy alive.

A bequest is an instruction within a will that reserves part of your estate (such as assets, shares or bonds, or money) for a particular beneficiary. Leaving a bequest is one of the most personal ways that you can support our work, and for some it is an opportunity to make a gift that you may not otherwise be able to make during your lifetime.

For more information, please fill in our contact form and the Chair of the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace Society will get in touch with you.
